Museum of the Risorgimento

The rich collection of paintings, prints and memorabilia in the Museo of the Risorgimento illustrates the period of Italian history between the first campaign of Napoleon Bonaparte in Italy in 1796 and the annexation of Rome to the Kingdom of Italy in 1870.

Among the highlights of the collections (the most cospiscue in Italy): the relics of the coronation of Napoleon in Italy (the green and silver mantle and precious royal insignia), the banner of the Lombardy Legion Hunters on Horseback, the first Tricolore Italian flag, famous historical paintings.
